Pasta in Paper Packaging
We don't want to live without pasta - but without plastic! That's the reason why we use uncoated paper bags to wrap this pasta. We offer a wide variety of pasta shapes made from durum wheat, spelt or other ancient grains. All of these products are organic, vegan and made in Germany.
PLASTIC FREE AND UNCOATED
This packaging is made from wood - the most natural and renewable material. We only use paper from sustainable and certificated forestry. The colors that are used for this packaging are soluble in water and eco-friendly.
In the end we get a packaging that is completely ecological, natural and environmentally friendly.
SUSTAINABLE AND SENSIBLE
At ALB-GOLD, we attach great importance to the conservation of resources and the preservation of natural ecosystems. But it's not just protecting the environment that is important to us; the holistic approach to sustainability is a matter of course in all areas of our daily activities. We use renewable energies and generate our own electricity, maintain long-term partnerships with our contract farmers, are committed to biodiversity and are committed to environmental and nutritional education, to name just a few building blocks. Whether on a small or large scale, we do something for our environment and our fellow human beings. That makes sense... and for us, quality makes sense.
PAPER WINS
The ALB-GOLD pasta paper packaging has won the German Packaging Award 2019 in the Sustainability category and also the Gold Award, which is presented by the jury for solutions that set trends, provide important answers or break new ground in a special way. According to the European Comission more than 10 million tons of plastic waste end up in the seas every year*. For us, this is one of the many reasons to think about alternative packaging options. With the special high-quality paper and the investment in a new packing machine, we have created the possibility to pack and present our pasta in a sustainable way. This is how we contribute to the change.
If you compare the CO2 emissions during the production of paper and foil, our paper emits about 65% less CO2**.
